Work drawing challenge time! Another topic from the AVA blog. I also posted up some of my rough/quick sketches that I use to figure out my image. If you look close you can see the influence that bled over from each one of the sketches into the final image. Enjoy.

This may sound strange, but kudos on the fat person nip. The thought of a murderous boar running around with an ax, his man breasts flopping, made me laugh. This is seriously an awesome character.
Amazing Pig Man! He's just cool all over. Sweet background too!
I love that you included the process too! This is a fun evolution of images. And now I will have to add "Invasion by vaguely Mongolian pig-men" to my list of irrational fears.
Hey man, I am lovin this.. great job. I like the hat suspended in air. love the classic Joe touch. well done.
Beautiful...well as beautiful as a saggy-chest hog can be...I think this is my new favorite of yours!
cool man! I like the roughs best, they are so full of life..they look great and so does the final image. Nice work.
i love the composition of the top one. stellar as always Joe.
I love that you aren't afraid of drawing ugly body parts. Especially the man boobs. Congrats Joe on another successful piece. The small bones under the ax are a nice touch. I was meaning to ask you. What is the process on making your backgrounds? Just a little click, click in photoshop do the trick or are you creating them in painter?
I love the sillhouette, great shapes everywhere!
Wowzers Joe - this is one of my favourites of yours! Absolutely amazing! I love every little detail here!!!

thanks for posting the sketches, always great to see another artists thought process - really like how you did the finish, clean and simple, love the textured background.
I like your style.....very funny!!
Yeah, it is nice to see that you have a process. I was always under the assumption that everything you drew came about without any fore thought. Nice to see you are human. Great character!
Love the design!! Beautiful!
Hahaha, great character. Love that it's so stylised whith the red and white and yet so rough in the lines.
