La Niña Ghoulsmire
creepy kid for the drawing challenge at my work avalanche software. It was a fun topic.

You have some very nice designs. Drawings themselves are a little flat, but that can work if handled a big differently. I find you either have to go flat or dimensional, and this little girl looks somewhat inbetween. Most of her body looks good flat, its just the hair that looks three dimensional and kind of offsets the rest of the design. If you do flatten the hair, however, I'd suggest a oval shape rather then a square or something angular, as there are so many other sharp shapes in the design. Thats what I think, anyway

I find that you either have to draw how you want or draw how someone else wants...oh, and there is that infiniti thing inbetween -so that's pretty limiting.

There is small bit of appeal in the sketch version that got lost in translation. The pupils maybe? It's a bit nitpicky, I know. I really like the palette of the color version, very nice!
Look at you! Rendering things out in painter! this looks great. I'm not so sure what your hang up is. Keep it up, and some day you'll be as good as Michealangelo. Or maybe not.
