Barbarians and Pirates

I definetly like this barbarian the best. This was another drawing theme that me and some friends at work did. Viking to barbarian isn't that much of a change but it was fun theme.

Pirate themed. I am a sucker for drawing kids and imaginary friends. This must be the residual excitment from Pirates of the Caribean that I have had since watching the last film.

These are great... I love the variation in sizes of things in your designs. You push things really far, and it's cool. I love the arrows in the barbarian's back... and he seems okay with them there. Great motion and life. Man, you're good!

I'm really diggin' your line quality and the energy you got going here.

I just drew an imaginary friend today, too! Mine turned out more like a deranged Easter Bunny. Yours is great. It's hard to go wrong with pirate stuff. Great barbarian, too.

both of these are great but I really dig that kid taming the knife guy.

Magnifico Senor Olson!

I love 'em as usual, but you really need to change those clubs & knives to maracas. Nice!

Sam and Mr lewis:
Thanks for the comments, I also thought that the arrows added something that was missing from when I began drawing it.

Ben:
I would also like to see them colored...preferably color themselves.

Brandon:
Thanks for the compliment. Your line work is pretty awesome, as is the rest of your blog. Always nice to meet more awesome local artist.

Mel:
Thanks for liking my crap suncshine. We need to do the lunch thing with Lael again.

Seth:
You need to post your imaginary friend on your blog. You got me all excited about a deranged Easter Bunny but all that was new was a bunch of Germans falling into a water bed trap...which was pretty funny.

Ryan:
Maracas, done. Punk.

Justin:
Thanks for the comment amigo.

spaceturle:
Glad to hear you like em.

Great shapes Joe! Your character design is always a blast to look at. The Barbarian is amazing, and the fact that he's surrounded by flies, carrying two clubs, and doesn't seem to be bothered with three arrows sticking out of his back makes him even cooler.

The imaginary hammerhead shark friend is way too cool too. He's got that pinky action going on too. He must be from the rich part of town. Perhaps from all the booty he's stolen.

Is that top one you? It looks like you that one day when you came into work in a phsycotic rage, remember that? You really captured the emotion of the day.

thanks for all the comments and for checking out my stuff. Oh, and Steve just thought you might want to know that all the characters have already been modeled. They are for a project that me, Sam, and the rest of our senior class is doing. Once again, thanks dropping by to see my drawings.
