King of the island

This is my drawing from a theme a couple of friends and I did a few weeks back. Just getting around to putting some value on it. The idea was that the robot had been abandoned on the island took on the role of protector of the island...like King Kong. I was going for some kind of Soviet Cold War experiment that crashed on the island and was abandoned, but has since grown fond of birds.

Thanks for the kind words Audrey. So, what the heck is Laputa? Is it la puta, because I know what that means.

Wow!!! Googled Laputa. Not the spanish slang term I was expecting. For the records, I have never seen this movie.

LOL Yeah don't look up the words, I hear it means something bad. But if you google the words 'miyazaki laputa' that should get you to what we're really talking about. It means castle in the sky. Apparently only Sometimes. BTW I profiled my blog, but not the way you'd expect. I had some 'interesting' comments a few times that provoked me to not put my blog public. So can I link your blog??

I am going to watch castle in the sky asap. A guy at work has it and is going to let me borrow it. Feel free to link and thanks again for the comments.

Love this one. It has the Miyazaki's feelin', and you've got a great style to reflect it.
